Update 23.06.25 Mir fällt gerade ein, dass ich lange nichts gepostet habe. Wir sind unverändert regelmäßig bei Giovanni. Heute gab es Pizza und ich muss sagen ich liebe es wenn die Pizza auch in der Mitte noch knusprig ist sehr sehr lecker!! Update 08.12.24! Also, offiziell heißt das frühere Basilico heute Trattoria da Giovanni. Heute waren wir mal wieder dort essen. Was soll ich sagen… Neue Bilder anbei. Ich konnte mich nicht so recht entscheiden was ich esse und habe zwischen zwei Nudelvarianten geschwankt. Da sagte Giovanni, wir machen ein „Duetto“. Meine ersten Worte, nach dem ersten Bissen „Oh, mein Gott!!“ Mein Partner hatte das Filetsteak mit grünem Pfeffer. Ein Gedicht! Wir sind weder verwandt noch verschwägert, sondern einfach Fans guter italienischer Küche. ================================== Vor ca. 4 Monaten: Das beste italienische Restaurant weit und breit! Wir sind sehr regelmäßig seit der Eröffnung in der Trattoria Basilico und so froh, dass endlich mal ein erstklassiger Italiener seinen Weg nach Erkrath gefunden hat! Marco (by the way, 10 Jahre Chefkoch im Rossini) und sein Team sind wunderbar und erfüllen auch gerne Extrawünsche. Alle Gerichte, insbesondere Fisch, sind so, wie man es sich vorstellt. Top! Kein Pizza-Einerlei und auch die Pasta sind selbstgemacht. HIER gibt's NICHTS aus "der Dose"! Und ich LIEBE absolut die Vorspeisen, die sich erfreulich vom Standard abheben. Die Bilder sprechen für sich. Überraschenderweise alles in allem zu Preisen, die nicht teurer sind als im Umkreis... z.B. ein Steak im Jägerhof kostet OHNE Beilagen rund 26€, im Basilico 24,50 € inkl. Beilagen. Oder im Brauhaus kosten Schweineschnitzel schon 22€ (Mikro)... Wer vergleicht, sollte Äpfel mit Äpfeln vergleichen und nicht mit Birnen. Und das Ganze in lockerer, netter Atmosphäre. KEIN Schicki-Micki wie teilweise in Düsseldorf. Wir empfinden es als familiär.

5 Sterne – Mega gutes Essen und tolles Ambiente! Ich war absolut begeistert vom Besuch im Da Giovanni in Erkrath! Das Essen war einfach hervorragend – frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders die Pasta und die Pizza haben mich umgehauen. Auch das Ambiente ist klasse: gemütlich, stilvoll und mit typisch italienischem Flair. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder – absolute Empfehlung!

Giovanni, oder früher Basilico, ist nun alleiniger Betreiber der Trattoria und gleichzeitiger Betreiber des Fisch "Tempel" Le Pesce in Gerresheim. Wir sind Stammgäste in beiden und kann nur sagen. Nie enttäuscht worden. Alles top und das hat manchmal auch seinen Preis. Jederzeit wieder!!

Wir haben für unsere Betriebsfeier bei Basilico ein Buffet bestellt, und was soll ich sagen ? Das Essen war hervorragend!!! Das Zusammenstellen des Menüs hat super geklappt und das Beliefern, inkl. Aufbau und Abholen verlief reibungslos. Also wenn ihr ein Catering braucht, ich empfehle euch Il Basilico von Herzen Wir waren auch schon öfters im Restaurant selbst, das Essen ist super lecker, der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und auch kinderfreundlich. Wir haben unseren Stamm Italiener gefunden.

I can only speak for the takeout pizza, but it was the best service (like really over and above!), amazing toppings, reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back to dine in!

That italian restaurent is good we ordered pizza margherita but they also give us everytime sprite breads olives for free and 2 times the hospitality they also the food for free and the staff was very good the atmosphere is like your in a 5 star restaurent thanks.

Wir waren zu zweit in der Trattoria da Giovanni und haben beide eine Pizza bestellt. Der Teig war angenehm dünn, der Belag frisch und geschmacklich sehr ausgewogen – einfach lecker. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Espresso, der ebenfalls hervorragend war. Freundlicher Service und gemütliche Atmosphäre – wir kommen gerne wieder!
